Now more than ever we are aware of the importance of our personal space. From working, exercising or simply relaxing at home, the use of additional, usable space is more important and desirable than ever, let us offer you the solution.
We are a group of talented designers, project managers and carpenters all with a passion for timber design and build. We were formed in 2014 and have sold over £15 million of bespoke timber structures in that time.
Working both indoors and outdoors we have an eye for detail. Current trends, eco friendly materials and sustainable manufacturing is at the heart of everything we do.
Outdoor buildings are a passion to us, they allow us to use our skills to create stunning, trouble free spaces for our customers to use all-year-round, day and night and in the comfort of their own homes.
Our Process.
All of our pods have been carefully designed, literally to the last millimetre to give a perfect balance of useable space whilst remaining under 2.5m in overall height, thus avoiding the time consuming and costly planning application that can usually be the reason to give up on the dream.
Choose It.
We have plenty of options and configurations without being over complicated. Through 4 levels of design, with 3 sizes in each range, we believe we have the configuration and look to make choosing your perfect pod very simple. As we manufacture to order we can of course offer customisations too.
Refine It.
Being an established bespoke timber design and manufacturer, we love creating individual solutions, engaging with customers to bring individuality to any given project. Our pods are off to a great start in terms of style and functionality but your ideas can bring them to life too!
Site Visit.
Once you have identified your chosen design, we will arrange to visit you to verify the ground conditions, access to the property and to identify any potential hazards prior to manufacture, just in case any alterations may be required. We will either evaluate the existing foundation or verify the proposed new foundation, we will have discussed this at the refining stage, but there is of course no substitute to an actual site evaluation.
Make it.
Our workshop is fully equipped with the latest equipment, a CNC machine for detailed intricacies, a spray shop for the finest of finishes and skilled carpenters for ultimate build quality. Each pod is manufactured to order and quality control is a given each and every time.
Delivery & Installation.
We love building, the time when it all comes together, the design, the make and the planning. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing the pod come to life in its new surroundings and over the course of 3 to 5 days you will witness our expert team create your new building to your exacting expectations.
FAQs
Will I need planning permission?
No. All of our buildings are designed specifically to fall under 2.5m high in total height meaning there is no need to apply for planning permission. We require that a distance of 500mm is left from any boundary line but apart from that, simple!
Can I have underfloor heating?
We can offer an upgrade option of underfloor heating. However, due to the 90mm insulation installed into the floor and the overall highly efficient u-values and already included heating, then we feel it isn’t really necessary but can offer it if you prefer.
Can I choose different colours for my Pod?
Of course. We have colour charts of the colouring dye for the external Siberian Larch cladding. We also offer different colours for the uPVC doors and as the internal walling is solid moisture resistant MDF then a wide colour palette of emulsion is available to choose from.
Will my Garden Pod be warm enough to use in winter?
Absolutely. All of our garden pods are insulated to an extremely high standard. Our buildings achieve U-values that lead all others, Floor = 0.23w/m2k, Walls = 0.26w/m2k and Roof = 0.28w/m2k. Combined with the standard 1200w oil filed radiator, this is a guaranteed cosy warm room all year round. We also offer an optional feature electric stove fire for both effect and added heat!
Can I live in a Garden Pod?
No. For simplicity in planning and timely installations our Pods aren’t designed to comply with building regulations or require planning permission. This doesn’t permit sleeping overnight in the Pod.
How is my Garden Pod powered?
Included in the price of the Pod is a consumer (mains) box containing the fuses for all the circuits within the Pod. In terms of the power delivery to the Pod, as all circumstances will be different, this price is calculated following a site visit. We will arrange for an electrician to attend your property to assess what is required and the cost will be advised. We will manage the electrical installation to ensure that the delivery is ready for the Pod installation.

Home Office
If one thing 2020 has proved, it is that working from home has it’s benefits. Less commuting, less waste, more efficiency and more time with the family, BUT have you got a suitable space? Work should still be separate from home, that important video meeting when the dog is going mad at the post delivery? Let a Garden Pod be that real office at home. Internet is obviously important in this instance and we can help plan for that either through WIFI extenders or a Cat5 cable run from the house.
Lounge and Relaxation
A modern day conservatory? Enter the Garden Pod with all the nice touches! Relaxing seating, soft furnishings, a TV, maybe some optional extras such as a fireplace, a bluetooth/DAB panel with integrated ceiling speakers. or LED mood lighting perhaps?
Gym
Fitness and health is apparent now more than ever. A home gym? It is never sustainable to convince yourself that an exercise bike will be fine in the bedroom or a rower in the hallway? Again a dedicated room, away from the house allows for a change of focus, an interrupted cardio work out, yoga session or a strength programme. We offer an upgraded floor loading for Gym Pods, so please be sure to specify this use at the consultation stage so we can specify it.
Games Room
Could it be a pool table, a dart board, a large screen TV with a games console or all of these! A true modern day breakout place for family and friends, everyone can have fun all under one roof so the fun can happen any time, day or night, summer or winter.

It all begins with the design. We have left no stone unturned in designing a beautiful range of Pods, all of which maximise every last millimetre of space whilst keeping the overall height under 2.5m to fall under permitted development thus avoiding costly and long drawn out planning applications.
Our attention to detail is apparent throughout the Pod, externally our corner joints and lines are clean, crisp and well aligned with minimal fixings on view. Inside the theme continues with all wiring concealed, nicely specified sockets and light fittings. Our paint finish is perfect and our floor coverings are well specified.
